These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Women of Bitcoin Summit (“Event”), organized by Women of Bitcoin, a program of the American Dreams Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 32-0850819) (the “Organizer”). By registering for or attending the Event, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

01Eligibility

The Event is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

02Code of Conduct

All participants must comply with the Women of Bitcoin Code of Conduct. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove any participant from the Event for behavior that violates the Code of Conduct or disrupts the experience of others. Removal will occur without notice.

03Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that participation in an online event that includes live chat, networking, and interactive discussions involves interaction with other participants. You acknowledge that online discussions may involve differing opinions and that participation is voluntary.

You assume full responsibility for your participation and for any communications you engage in during the Event. The Organizer does not control and is not responsible for statements, opinions, or conduct of individual attendees, speakers, sponsors, or third parties.

04User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Harass, intimidate, or verbally attack other participants.
  • Post unlawful, defamatory, threatening, or discriminatory content.
  • Share private or confidential information of others without consent.
  • Engage in spam, solicitation, or unauthorized promotion.
  • Attempt to disrupt, hack, or interfere with the Event platform.

Violation may result in immediate removal and restriction from future events.

05Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organizer and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, speakers, sponsors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your participation in the Event.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Emotional distress
  • Loss of data
  • Technical interruptions
  • Statements made by other participants
  • Platform outages
  • Reliance on information presented during the Event

In no event shall the Organizer’s total liability exceed the amount paid by you for registration, if any. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

06Disclaimer of Professional Advice

Educational purposes only. Content shared during the Event is for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing presented constitutes financial, legal, tax, investment, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for your decisions and actions.

07Intellectual Property

All Event materials, including presentations, branding, graphics, and recordings, are the property of the Organizer or respective speakers and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, record, or republish Event content without prior written consent.

08Recording and Media Release

The Event may be recorded. By participating, you grant the Organizer permission to use recordings, screenshots, or chat excerpts that may include your name, likeness, or comments for promotional or archival purposes, unless otherwise prohibited by law.

If you do not wish to appear in recordings, you may disable your camera and refrain from participating verbally.

09Third Party Platforms

The Event may be hosted on third party platforms. The Organizer is not responsible for the policies, security practices, or technical performance of those platforms.

10Giveaways and Promotions

All giveaways are organized by the companies running them and are subject to separate eligibility rules and applicable laws. The Organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel promotions if necessary.

Women of Bitcoin does not provide sponsors with attendee lists or attendee contact information. Where a sponsor’s giveaway requires proof of attendance, an attendee may request that Women of Bitcoin confirm that attendee’s own participation directly to the sponsor. No attendee information is shared except at that attendee’s request. Sponsor promotions are administered solely by the sponsor in accordance with their official rules. Prizes have no cash equivalent unless explicitly stated.

11Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your conduct during the Event
  • Your infringement of another party’s rights

12Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on the Event website and become effective upon posting.

13Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

14Dispute Resolution and Binding Arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Event, or your participation in the Event shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if eligible.

The arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its applicable rules. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Delaware, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class Action Waiver: You and the Organizer agree that any dispute will be conducted on an individual basis only and not as a class, consolidated, collective, or representative action. You expressly waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit, class arbitration, or representative proceeding. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that you are waiving the right to a trial by jury and the right to participate in a class action.

This arbitration provision shall survive termination of these Terms.

15Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and the Organizer regarding participation in the Event.

17Donations

Donations are voluntary and are received by the American Dreams Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 32-0850819). Donations are final and non-refundable. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, and the Organizer cannot reverse a donation or recover funds sent to an incorrect address. Sponsorship is not a donation. Sponsors should consult their own tax advisor regarding the treatment of a sponsorship.

18Privacy

The Organizer’s Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected, used, and protected, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Registration information is used to operate the Event and to communicate with you about it. The Organizer does not sell attendee information and does not provide attendee lists to sponsors.

19Security and Impersonation

The Organizer will never contact you asking for funds, a seed phrase, a private key, or access to your wallet. No speaker, sponsor, volunteer, or partner is authorized to solicit funds or wallet access on behalf of the Organizer. Treat any such request as fraudulent and report it to the Organizer.

20Assignment and No Waiver

You may not assign these Terms. The Organizer may assign them to any successor or affiliated organization. The Organizer’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision.
